TV chef Jamie Oliver has given families a huge Christmas shopping list for the holidays ahead.
The star is keen to ensure everyone has what they need as they prepare for one of the biggest days of the year in the kitchen. He reckons if people follow his detailed suggestions they will have no mishaps when the family appears on Christmas Day.
He gives a detailed list of the ingredients people will need to create delicious food. The detailed array of items will sell out quickly and so time is of the essence. Jamie said: “If you’re following Jamie’s Christmas Day Masterplan down to the letter, this is everything you’ll need. We’ve made a list (and checked it twice) so you don’t have to – here’s to your easiest Christmas ever”
The chef goes on to outline the essentials for making Christmas Day and your festive dinner as good as it can be. His ‘masterplan’ even explains the number of people who it caters for.
MENU (SERVES 8-10)
JAMIE’S CHRISTMAS TURKEY WITH GRAVY (serves 12 with lots of leftovers)
MEAT STUFFING (serves 10)7 PIGS IN BLANKETS (flex up depending on how many you’re cooking for)
BEST ROAST POTATOES (10 as a side)

In the shopping list he says you”ll need 4 clementines, 4 eating apples, 300g fresh or frozen cranberries, 2.5kg medium Maris Piper potatoes, small mixed-colour carrots, heirloom if you can get them, 1kg Brussels sprouts\ 2 leeks, 2 carrotsm, 2 sticks of celery, 1 fresh red chilli, 2 bulbs of garlic, 2½ bunches of fresh sage (75g) 1 bunch of fresh thyme (20g)14 fresh bay leaves, 1 bunch of fresh rosemary (30g) +2 sprigs of fresh rosemary*

BUTTER, OIL & DRIPPING
400g unsalted butter (at room temperature),m Olive oil, 4 tablespoons goose fat (or unsalted butter 1 tablespoon dripping.
HOUSEHOLD ESSENTIALS
Strong tin foil, Freezer-proof bags or containers (for allthose lovely leftovers)
SQUASHED BRUSSELS
You’ll need these ingredients for Jamie’s SquashedBrussels recipe, which is roasted with chorizo& chestnuts. If you’d prefer to go with Mustard Brussels’ tops.
