Miley Cyrus presented the award for Best Sound at the Oscars, but people noticed something a bit odd.
The Oscars have brought together Hollywood’s elite this evening, and they’re all in their finery.
This year’s Oscars feature an unpredictable race for Best Picture, with Wicked, Conclave, The Brutalist, and Emilia Pérez all vying for the top prize.
Adding to the excitement, legendary comedian Conan O’Brien is making his Oscars hosting debut, bringing his signature sharp wit to Hollywood’s biggest night.
Fashion took center stage as stars arrived in breathtaking ensembles, with bold colors, daring silhouettes, and eye-catching accessories dominating the red carpet.
Designers pulled out all the stops, ensuring that Hollywood’s elite made a lasting impression before the awards were even handed out.
Though one person has really caught the eye, and that person is Miley Cyrus.
I’m not an eyebrow expert, but I know where they should sit on the face, and I certainly notice the absence of them.
… And it would appear that Cyrus has bleached her eyebrows for the event, and social media has reacted as you’d expect.
One person questioned: “Love you Miley, but what on earth have you done to your eyebrows?”
A second said: “I can’t believe someone on Miley Cyrus team saw her eyebrows and was like yeah that’s it looks great.”
A third added: “The biggest question of the night: who stole Miley’s eyebrows? They must be apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!”
Another asked: “Miley still looks beautiful but..where are her eyebrows?”
On the red carpet, the ‘Flowers’ singer, who attended the ceremony as a presenter, dazzled in a black beaded Alexander McQueen gown with a high neckline, paired with black lace gloves, a chunky silver bracelet, and striking bleached eyebrows.
By her side was boyfriend Maxx Morando, who complemented her effortlessly in a sleek black suit, adorned with a beaded flower on the lapel.
Though she wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, Cyrus has already been a big winner this awards season.
The Hannah Montana alum took home her first-ever Grammy Award last month, winning Best Country Duo/Group Performance for II Most Wanted, her collaboration with Beyoncé.
Reflecting on the song’s success, Cyrus shared that she had written it long before it became a hit.
“I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago,” she told W Magazine in June. “My mom would always go, ‘I love that song so much.’ So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship.”
She added: “I told her, ‘We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country. You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.’ Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.”
