Elizabeth Montgomery was born into a family of actors  in Los Angeles, California on April 15, 1933

Acting was practically in her blood, and she began her career at a young age, appearing in both movies and TV shows.

But her role as Samantha Stevens truly made her a household name. Bewitched was a beloved sitcom that aired from 1964 to 1972. In the show, Montgomery played Samantha, a kind-hearted witch who tries to live a normal life with her mortal husband, Darrin, played by actor Dick York (and later Dick Sargent).

What made Bewitched so special was its combination of magic and comedy. Samantha’s attempts to fit into the mortal world often led to hilarious situations, especially when her magical powers got her into trouble. But through it all, Montgomery’s portrayal of Samantha charmed audiences with her wit, grace, and a sprinkle of magic.
