People notice detail in Demi Moore’s behavior at Golden Globes

Sunday night was a triumph for actress Demi Moore. The actress was nominated for her role in The Substance and ended up wining her first Golden Globe as a result. She won Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical category. The other people nominated for the award were Anora actor Mikey Madison, Wicked‘s Cynthia Erivo, and Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón, Nightbitch’s Amy Adams and Challengers front-woman Zendaya.

The actress delivered a heartfelt speech about aging in Hollywood as she accepted the award. But her acceptance speech was not the only thing that had netizens talking.

A video of Moore’s interaction with some other award show attendees started making rounds. In the video, the Ghost actress approaches Elle Fanning and speaks with her and Monica Barbaro. Her body blocks off Kylie Jenner who is sitting behind her, looking at the actress, clearly vying for her attention so she can also have an exchange with her.

However, Demi Moore does not turn around to interact with Kylie. After she hugs Elle Fanning and exchanges some words with her, she moves on, completely ignoring Kylie Jenner. However, she stops to interact with Jenner’s date and boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.

Moore’s failure to acknowledge Jenner got people on the internet riled up. One person reacted to the video by saying, “i could never feel bad for a kardashian/jenner.” While another X user added, “Money can buy you a lot of things but respect ain’t one of them.”

There were some who felt bad for Jenner. One person posted, “Ouch, I kinda of feel bad for Kylie. She was smiling, and demi refused to even look at her”

“Poor Kylie she seems very uncomfortable and it’s sad cause she said hi and everything but Demi just ignored her. Btw Kylie appears to be the nicest of the Kardashian clan tho,” another user sympathized.

However, since then, Demi Moore’s daughter Tallulah Willis has spoken out to spare her mother the unwanted media attention related to this particular incident. She wanted to clarify that her mother did not ‘ignore’ Jenner on purpose.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram to share the following on her story, “NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD – we spent new years with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do.”

She added some much-needed context to the events, saying, “This angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers. There was [no] snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space.”

“Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”

Tallulah watched the ceremony with her older sisters, Rumer Willis and Scout Willis. Demi Moore shares the three girls with ex-husband Bruce Willis, who she was married to from 1987 to 2000.

The three women all celebrated their mother’s win by posting on Instagram about how proud they are of her.
