She wanted to talk to him about their children
Grimes wrote a public message to Elon Musk about their child while he was waving a chainsaw about on stage.
For most other people, that would be a rather peculiar thing to write, but Elon Musk has done quite a lot of things which make waving a chainsaw about on stage look tame by comparison.
The Tesla CEO was attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) alongside Argentine president Javier Milei, who has previously waved a chainsaw about to represent how dedicated he is to cutting government budgets.
Musk is heading up the US government’s new Department of Government Efficiency which is meant to be cutting a significant amount of US government spending.
So that’s why he’s at CPAC on stage with Javier Milei waving a chainsaw about.
While he was doing that, musician Grimes – who is mother to three of his children – made a public post on social media which has since been deleted imploring him to get back to her ‘about our child’s medical crisis’.
She said that Musk needed to give the situation ‘immediate attention’ and that if he didn’t want to talk to her he could pick someone else to do it on his behalf.
She wrote: “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.

“If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”
In a later response to someone on X, Musk’s own social media platform, Grimes wrote: “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f**king respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at.”
Her posts were later deleted.
Grimes has previously launched legal action over their three children – X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus.
In more recent times she’s commented on some of his activities, including the salute he gave on stage during Trump’s inauguration, saying she was ‘happy to denounce Nazi-ism – and the far alt right’ but ‘will not make a statement every time he does something’.
More recently, Musk brought X Æ A-Xii into the Oval Office to see President Donald Trump, prompting Grimes to say: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
