A 35-year-old man who ‘looks like a teenager’ has revealed all of his anti-aging secrets.
If you’re still being asked for ID at age 35, it’s no surprise that people are eager to know your skincare routine and other lifestyle secrets.
In your quest to maintain youthfulness, you may go to great lengths to slow the aging process, and following the example of someone like Brandon Miles May might be a good place to start.
Thanks to his youthful appearance and wrinkle-free skin, the Detroit-based medical writer has many people doing a double take when they learn his true age.
In an exclusive interview, Brandon has opened up about his unique perspective on life, aging, and the challenges of looking much younger than his years.
The 35-year-old, who grew up in Texas, realized he was ‘different’ from most kids around him from an early age
He recalls: “I was always ‘different’ than most kids my age (especially boys), and I never really fit in with the people in my specific environment.
“When I was 12-13, I was listening to Enya, watching 1930s-1940s movies every day, and researching anti-aging and longevity science.”
These interests set the foundation for his lifelong passion for maintaining a youthful appearance and healthy lifestyle.
Interestingly, Brandon doesn’t recall a specific moment when he first noticed his youthful appearance but instead attributes his look to intentional choices made with age.

By the time Brandon had turned 20, the results of his efforts were apparent, with his youthful appearance often leading to amusing encounters in his daily life.
“Sometimes if someone comes to the door at my home, they ask if my parents are home. If I’m traveling with somebody, the TSA will ask if I’m a minor,” he shares with a laugh.
“These [situations] don’t bother me at all, but I can often tell the other person is embarrassed and apologetic! I’m actually very appreciative.”
Although people may not take him as seriously due to his youthful look, Brandon is unfazed.
He says: “I sometimes perceive others to not treat me respectfully due to how young I look. Whether it’s true or not, I have no proof, but I take it as a compliment if I’m being honest!
“Someone underestimating me or not taking me seriously doesn’t mean much to me; that’s their own thoughts/beliefs and has nothing to do with me.”
Professionally, Brandon’s looks have never posed a significant challenge
He explains: “I own my own business, so I’m not around any ‘superiors’ who may treat me a certain way because of my looks and demeanor.”
However, he does recall one instance in his twenties when his appearance caused confusion during a job interview.
Brandon recalls: “I went into somewhere to apply for a job.
They told me immediately before the interview that they weren’t looking to hire anyone in school because they needed someone during the day.
“This confused me at first since other college students were there interviewing.
It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they thought I was in high school and wasn’t available most of the day.”
Socially, Brandon’s introverted nature and his unique appearance have influenced his relationships.
He says: “I’m fairly introverted, so I don’t go out, and I have a very small circle of friends I choose to have in my life (and vice versa!). I’m in a relationship, so I’m not dating.”
Making new friends, particularly those his age, isn’t always easy.
He adds: “I don’t drink, so that often makes it harder to socialize with new people, unfortunately.”
Brandon fully embraces his youthful appearance, never feeling pressured to look or act more like his chronological age, asserting: “I know who I am! That’s enough.”
He offers simple yet profound advice for those facing similar challenges with looking younger or older than their age: “Embrace where you are and who you are. You have something unique and special to offer the world.”
As for his future, Brandon is optimistic that advancements in anti-aging science – a passion of his – will continue to enhance lives, in both health and aesthetics.
“I hope new, effective, and safe anti-aging interventions come to market that can provide greater long-lasting effects for people in terms of longevity as well as improving appearance,” he tells.
Ultimately Brandon’s goal is to build a brand centered around anti-aging, helping others who share his interests.
His answer is refreshingly simple when asked how he maintains his own youthful appearance
Brandon acknowledges some misconceptions around him, particularly relating to his diet and health.
He says: “I think a lot of people think I’m vegan or vegetarian (I’m not), or have some type of condition/disorder that makes me look younger. None of these are true.”
Referencing his skincare routine, the 35-year-old adds: “Gentle cleanser, anti-aging serum (usually antioxidant serum), moisturizer, and sunscreen. That’s pretty much it!
“I’ve never had Botox, filler, or any other work done. All my results are from practical but evidence-based strategies – nutrition, skin care, some exercise, and mindset.”
