Vince Neil’s girlfriend survives deadly plane crash

The music industry held its breath yesterday evening following reports that Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil’s private jet had been involved in a deadly crash.

It’s now been confirmed that those reports are true – said crash occurred at an Arizona airport – but Neil was not on the jet at the time.

According to TMZ, one individual who was on the plane during the tragic accident was Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andreani, 43, as well as a friend of hers named Ashley. Both women survived the incident and are currently in hospital, with Andreani having broken five ribs.

Allen Kovac, Mötley Crüe’s manager, told TMZ that contrary to conflicting rumors going around, Vince is safe and was not on the plane. The jet – registered to Chromed in Hollywood – which is registered in Wyoming with a principal agent listed as Vince Neil, crashed into another plane at Scottsdale Airport.

Tragically, one of the pilot’s of the plane was killed in the incident, which took place when the jet veered off a runway upon landing.

Airport officials say the preliminary investigation appears to show the left main landing gear failed as the plane was landing, resulting in the collision.

In a statement released on X, Mötley Crüe wrote: “Earlier today, a private plane owned by Vince Neil was involved in a crash near Scottsdale, AZ.

“The pilot was tragically killed; the co-pilot and other passengers were taken to local hospitals.”

The statement continued: “Vince was not on the plane. Vince‘s girlfriend and her friend suffered injuries, albeit not life-threatening. While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families about the pilot who lost his life in the passengers who suffered injuries.

“Mötley Crüe will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot -stand by for an announcement very soon.”

Harrowing footage obtained by AZ Family shows the moment the aircraft skirted along the runway and smashed into another jet.

“A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona,” the Federal Aviation Administration said. “We do not know how many people were on board. The FAA is temporarily pausing flights into the airport. The FAA will investigate.”

According to Paramount Business Jets, a new Learjet 35A can cost around $4.8million and a Gulfstream G200 business jet can range between $2.85million to $7.195million.
