On Monday, April 21, the Tiger King star, 62, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, announced that he had tied the knot with Jorge Marquez.
He shared a photo on X of himself and his new husband on Tuesday, April 22, to mark the milestone.
“Never been more proud of someone,” Maldonado-Passage’s caption read. “Meet my husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado.”
Maldonado-Passage proudly revealed in October last year that he was set to marry Marquez after getting engaged while they were both incarcerated.

“Meet Jorge Marquez he is 33,” Maldonado-Passage wrote on X at the time. “He is so amazing and is from Mexico.”
“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we [will] be leaving America when we both get out,” his statement continued. “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”

He is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after his 2019 conviction for a murder-to-hire plot against his animal rights activist rival Carole Baskin. His initial sentence of 22 years was reduced in January 2022.
The Oklahoma zookeeper was previously married to Travis Maldonado from 2015 until 2017, when the latter accidentally shot himself and died.

He then married Dillon Passage two months later before splitting in 2021.
Last week, Maldonado-Passage shared a post on Instagram about his love for his new spouse and his hopes for freedom.
“He has gotten me through so much fighting cancer under these conditions,” he wrote. “All I pray to God for is Trump [to] allow me to enjoy a little life outside with him before it’s too late. I love you Jorge you are my life. @realdonaldtrump.”
