Serena Williams had some words of support for Taylor Swift after the music star was booed at the Super Bowl.
For those who have somehow avoided all Super Bowl news until now, the Philadelphia Eagles absolutely dominated the Kansas City Chiefs at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The Chiefs were looking to make it an historic third Super Bowl win in a row, but the Eagles had other ideas.
But much of the excitement of the evening wasn’t anything to do with football, but the celebs that had crammed into the stadium to watch.
One of which was global icon Taylor Swift, whose attendance shouldn’t come as a surprise considering she’s dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
However, Philadelphia Eagles fans made their presence known by booing Swift when she appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron, a moment that was widely shared across social media.
As the crowd erupted into jeers, Swift was seen exchanging glances with her guests, rapper Ice Spice and the Haim sisters, before giving the camera a subtle side-eye.

For what it’s worth, before she dated Kelce, Swift had been spotted in an Eagles jersey and had declared herself an Eagles fan, so its understandable why their fans are a bit aggrieved that she swapped her allegiances.
While Swift probably has thick skin, celebs have rallied around her with words of support, including Tennis legend Serena Williams.
Williams swiftly took to X to offer her support, posting: “I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those booo!!”
In addition to standing by Swift, Williams made headlines with an unexpected appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.
During the show, Williams showcased a crip walk – a dance move originating in the 1970s – while Lamar performed his hit diss track ‘Not Like Us.’
The move was reminiscent of her 2012 London Olympics victory celebration, when she performed a crip walk after defeating Maria Sharapova to win the gold medal.
Reflecting on her dance moves in a video posted to social media following the Super Bowl performance, Williams quipped: “Man I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon, I would’ve been fined.”
Also if you’re aware of the current feud between Kendrick and Drake, it makes the whole thing even funnier knowing that Williams is Drake’s ex.
Kendrick, known for his sharp lyricism, made notable omissions in his halftime performance.
In his track ‘Not Like Us,’ the rapper originally included a line referencing Drake’s 2021 album, rapping: “Certified Lover Boy? Certified paedophile.”
However, during the Super Bowl, he opted to leave out the word “paedophile” as well as the n-word throughout the performance.
