Pete Davidson revealed he’s burning off layers of his skin to remove 200 of his “dumbest tattoos,” that include tributes to his famous ex-girlfriends, a portrait of Hilary Clinton and a Spongebob Squarepants character.

Recently the comedian stripped it all off and made his jaw-dropping reveal, treating fans to his fresh new look as the “Official Boyfriend” to “beautiful and talented women everywhere.”

Pete Davidson, long been known for his extensive collection of tattoos, has spent years and more than $200,000 erasing memories from his skin.

While he loves his tattoos, the 31-year-old Saturday Night Live star admitted his body art became a hassle with his expanding career as an actor. His tattoo removal journey reflects a significant shift in his image – moving away from the rebellious, ink-covered comedian to a more refined Hollywood actor.

“I honestly never thought that I would get an opportunity to act and I love it a lot,” Davidson told the host of Late Night with Seth Meyers, adding his career in Hollywood inspired his decision to remove the majority of his tattoos. “It takes like three hours – you have to get there like three hours earlier – to cover all your tattoos. For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”

‘Dumbest tattoos’
Davidson’s journey with tattoos began in his teenage years and over time, his skin became the canvas for over 200 pieces of ink.

According to People, his body features tributes to his father, a firefighter who died in 9/11, portraits of Hilary Clinton and the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, DoodleBob from SpongeBob, a New York State driver’s license.

He also has tattoos that reference Harry Potter, Saturday Night Live, and even his ex-girlfriends, like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

“I made a lot of those decisions before rehab, so I have the dumbest tattoos,” the Bodies Bodies Bodies star told the host of the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts like a Muppet smoking a blunt, the Tootsie Pop owl smoking a blunt.”

‘It’s horrible’
Inspired by sobriety to laser off his tattoos, Davidson admitted that it’ll take quite some time to have them removed – hopefully by the time he’s 40, according to E! News.

And, he explains that it’s not an easy process, with each tattoo needing a minimum of seven visits.

“If it’s black and white, it’s a little easier,” the star of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts said. “But if it’s a color tattoo, it takes forever.”

Speaking with Fallon about the “horrible” laser process, he said, “They gotta burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks and you can’t get in the sunlight. Then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times.”

“Really think about that Game of Thrones tattoo you’ve been thinking about getting,” he joked to the audience, adding that laser removal is far more painful than getting a tattoo.

‘Official Boyfriend’
The star of King of Staten Island made his big reveal in a photo shoot as the “Official Boyfriend” for a campaign with Reformation, a sustainable clothing brand.

Davidson stars in a three-minute video where he’s introduced as a supportive partner, who patiently waits outside the fitting room as women try on outfits.

But while the campaign itself is charming, it’s the jaw-dropping photos on Reformation’s website that have truly stolen the spotlight.

In the images, the SNL alum appears topless or in minimal clothing, showing off what seems to be a nearly ink-free torso.

This is a huge transformation for Davidson, who said he’s “trying to be an adult.” And judging by his relaxed, confident poses in the new campaign, the star seems to be loving his new look.

Pete Davidson’s tattoo removal journey is more than just an aesthetic change – it’s a reflection of his evolving career and personal growth. While fans may miss his signature inked-up look, Davidson remains the same comedian at heart.
