It was a family affair for Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren on Thursday, March 27.

Lundgren, 67, stepped out with his wife Emma Krokdal, 28, and his daughters Ida, 28, and Greta, 23. The group enjoyed the restaurant Avra in Beverly Hills in what was a rare public appearance for the Rocky IV actor.

Lundgren and Krokdal got engaged in June 2020. In 2022, the actor told People that the pair’s wedding plans were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s just because we lost two years,” he told the outlet at the time. “So hopefully next year, we’re gonna go to Scandinavia, and you can’t do it in the winter or you’ll be in the middle of a snowstorm. So hopefully we’ll do it maybe next spring or something in Norway or Sweden.”

The duo got married in June 2023 in Mykonos, Greece. “We chose to celebrate our love by getting married at our villa in Mykonos with family and a few close friends,” they told People. “With both COVID and a long road of challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to push our marriage plans many times. We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness— in the land of the Gods.”

Lundgren and Krokdal also became U.S. citizens in February 2024. “I’ve been in this country on and off for over 40 years now,” the actor said in a statement. “I love America and the wonderful opportunities this country has given me. I’m proud to finally become a U.S. citizen and officially make this my home.”

Krokdal also supported Lundgren through his cancer treatment. The actor had a kidney tumor removed in 2015, and doctors discovered additional tumors in 2020.

“This is just the first time I’ve spoken about it. So if you can save one person’s life who was in my situation then it’s worth it, for sure,” Lundgren said in a May 2023 interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger. “I did scans every six months. Then you do it every year and it was fine for five years. In 2020, I was back in Sweden and had some kind of acid reflux. So I did an MRI, and they found that there were a few more tumors around that area.”

“So, I kinda asked [the doctor], ‘How long do you think I have left?’ and I think he said, ‘Two or three years,’ but I could tell in his voice that he probably thought it was less,” the actor said. .

“I thought it was it for sure. You kind of look at your life and going, ‘I’ve had a great life.’ I’ve had a freaking great life. I’ve lived like five lifetimes in one already with everything I’ve done.”
