Country star Lorrie Morgan is taking some time off in light of a family emergency.

The “Except for Monday” singer’s manager announced that she has canceled all concerts and appearances for the next two weeks after her husband Randy White was hospitalized amid his cancer treatment.

“Morgan’s husband of nearly 15 years, Randy White, has been undergoing treatment for mouth cancer,” Morgan’s manager Tony Conway said in a statement on Thursday, April 17. “White has been readmitted to a hospital in Middle Tennessee.”

Morgan, 65, was scheduled to join Alabama for two shows on April 17 and April 19, and will be replaced by singer Pam Tillis. Morgan was also on the bill for the Opry Country Classics concert in Nashville on April 24.

It remains unclear if the Grand Ole Opry member will cancel additional dates, but she’s set to play a string of headlining shows starting on May 3 and running through August.

She and White, an entrepreneur, were married in a private beachside ceremony in September 2010. Morgan was previously married to Keith Whitley from 1986 to his alcohol poisoning death in 1989 at age 34. She was married four other times, including to country singer Sammy Kershaw, before she and White tied the knot.

The “Watch Me” singer announced in April 2024 that White was undergoing treatment for mouth cancer.

“We deeply appreciate the prayers and well wishes, and for continued support and privacy as we focus on Randy’s health and on our family at this time,” Morgan said in a statement at the time.

In December, she shared a health update to Facebook, writing that her husband was “making some progress.”

“We are strong and he is determined,” she wrote. “I love you RanRan.”

Morgan — who is mom to son Jesse, 37, with Whitley and daughter Morgan, 44, with first husband Ron Gaddis — released her most recent album, Dead Girl Walking, in 2024.
