Comedian Amy Schumer opened up about how often she gets intimate with her husband of seven years
Amy Schumer can be added to the list of celebrities that overshare about their sex lives.
We’ve recently had the likes of Nicole Kidman talk about not wanting to ‘orgasm anymore’ while on set for a film, and Katy Perry admitting that she gives fiancé Orlando Bloom oral sex for completing a household task.
You may think it’s all a bit much, and Schumer hasn’t exactly been tight-lipped when it comes to the subject, previously joking that a sex scene with John Cena in 2015 flick Trainwreck involved penetration.
The WWE star has since denied this, as he wore a ‘modesty pouch’.
But now, Schumer has seemingly gone one step further, spilling the beans when it comes to her own intimacy away from the screen.
The 43-year-old actress revealed all to PEOPLE at the SNL 50th Anniversary Special, speaking candidly on the red carpet about her marriage to American chef Chris Fischer.
She spoke about the couple’s recent seventh wedding anniversary, having tied the knot on 13 February 2018, and then went right into the thick of it.
“Yes. Seven years. We had sex. We did,” she told the news publication.
The celeb then revealed that they only do the deed three times a year in the years following their star-studded private ceremony in Malibu seven years ago.
When asked if she only gets it on once a year, she revealed: And birthdays. And birthdays. Yeah,” bringing the total up to three.
Schumer, whose film Kinda Pregnant dropped on Netflix earlier this week, has a five-year-old son named Gene with her husband, as she has previously spoken about how their lives don’t really allow for spontaneity in the bedroom.
Speaking on The View earlier this month, she revealed that the weekend of SNL’s 50th anniversary show fell just after their seven-year milestone, before opening up on her sex life.
Schumer said: “Well, actually, that is the weekend of the SNL 50th. So I think I get a plus-one.”
Joking that she would ditch Fischer if he wasn’t allowed in, she then explained: “But no, we’re pretty corny. We will make love. We will make sweet love.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg butted in to ask: “During the 50th?”
As Schumer replied: “During the 50th!”
The I Feel Pretty star went on: “We do birthdays… we do schedule it, we do schedule it. Nobody ever is like, ‘Oh!’ There’s never like, a vibe where it just happens. Do people do that?”
The show’s co-host Sunny Hostin agreed, saying that you should ‘schedule time to get it in’.
