Aimee Lou Wood doesn’t plan on going under the needle for cosmetic reasons anytime soon.

The White Lotus star, 31, has exhibited nothing but candor when it comes to talking about her natural beauty. So, it’s no surprise that when she appeared on the Run-Through with Vogue podcast, she had some very honest things to say about getting cosmetic enhancements.

In the episode, released on April 3, the British actress recalled conversing with women who’d gotten Botox done and how they stated how “obvious” it was Wood hadn’t because of her “expressive” features.

“I’m, like, very anti-Botox. People can do whatever the hell they want, but for myself because, you know, a lot of my career relies on these facial expressions…so I can’t start freezing my face. It needs to move,” Wood said.

However, she admitted sometimes her face “moves too much,” adding, “Sometimes I watch things back and I go Jesus, I wasn’t aware that I was using my face that much in that moment.”

Wood recalled a time when she tried to look calm, cool and collected for a role, but just couldn’t keep her reactions at bay.

“A lot of people, they do that very still acting and everything’s kind of mumbled and they look really, like, hot and cool,” she explained. “I don’t think I’ll ever play a part that has a poker face because I can’t do it. Even when I think I’m doing it, I’m not doing it.”

Wood’s physical appearance, particularly her teeth, has garnered just as much attention as her acting in recent months.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the Sex Education star called fans’ “fascination” with her naturally gapped teeth a “real full-circle moment after being bullied” for them for “forever.” She’s also addressed not getting veneers despite her industry’s beauty standards, a move that she’s called “rebellious.”

“These people live in Hollywood,” she said in a March 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I live in my little flat in South East London, and I’m so British in my sensibility that I wasn’t sure how to handle being around so many people who are so front-footed and confident.”

But while chatter around her teeth has, for the most part, been immensely positive, it’s also been widespread and Wood is about ready to move on from it all. “It’s, like, cool, and now I want to stop f—— talking about it,” she told The Times in an interview published on April 5. “Can I talk about my character? Why am I talking about my gnashers? It’s like now I’m just a pair of front teeth.”
