Chocolate or vanilla Frostys get a twist of sauce with Frosty Swirls or a blend of sauces and mix-ins with Frosty Fusions
The wait is over for Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions.
On Thursday, April 10, Wendy’s confirmed the lineup of blended treats and that some of the new menu items will arrive tomorrow, April 11.
The fast food chain confirmed the internet rumors about Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions in early March but did not have a precise start date for the treats. Now, fans can mark their calendars and start drooling over the flavors.
Frosty Swirls add a twist of sauce to the customer’s choice of a vanilla or chocolate Frosty. Fans can choose strawberry, caramel or brownie batter sauce to make the dessert their own. Swirls will be available sooner than Fusions and are available to order on Friday, April 11 on the restaurant’s app and in stores on Tuesday, April 15.
The Frosty Fusions flavors are still a month away, arriving at locations nationwide on Monday, May 12. These will take it up a notch by blending the sauces available for Swirls plus mix-in toppings. Like Frosty Swirls, the Fusions are ordered with a chocolate or vanilla Frosty base.
Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion marks the toaster pastry’s first time being offered as a frozen dessert mix-in, according to a press release. This Frosty is swirled with strawberry sauce and chunks of strawberry Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers.
Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion is made for chocolate lovers. Brownie batter sauce and Oreo cookie pieces are combined with a chocolate or vanilla base.
Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion is the last of the new dessert options and adds toffee pieces and caramel sauce to the classic Frosty base.
The chain teased the Frosty changeup in social media posts on Tuesday, April 8. “Sorry to say, but Frosty is out :/” Wendy’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account posted, which the Instagram page reposted along with several memes about the dessert’s departure.

The posts prompted outrage from fans who flooded the posts with pleas for Frostys to remain on menus. “NOOOOOOOOOO MY LIFE IS GONE, MY ONLY HAPPINESS,” one person wrote and another commented, “i need to speak to a manager.”
But the daunting posts were just T’ing up the Swirls and Fusions announcement — plain chocolate and vanilla Frostys aren’t going anywhere, a Wendy’s spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE.
